Here at St. Jacobs Place we care for and honour our women. Women who are mothers and women who have been mother’s in many ways but have never had their own children. Women who love beyond themselves and reach out unselfishly to those in their world and beyond. Our Mother’s Day dinners this past weekend were filled with the sounds of voices enjoying each other, friends and family around tables filled with delicious food and beautiful decor. Music that thrilled listeners was presented by Kara Shaw as she filled the air with piano music played completely by ear as she has overcome the obstacle of no sight. The greatest of all were the lovely faces of all those who warmed our home with love. “The age of woman doesn’t mean a thing…the greatest tunes are played on the oldest fiddles.” Ralph Waldo Emerson
